The PEACE Project, Ecological Project and Continuous Improvement of the Economy of Shea Butter Producers in Natio-Kobadara, provides capacity building for members of the Chigata cooperative. Thus, in January 2023, CPCS-CI facilitated a meeting of the members of the cooperative during which the diagnosis of the accounting management of the cooperative was established.

Following this diagnosis, CPCS-CI organized training in simplified accounting for members of the Chigata cooperative office on February 25, 2023. The office members identified among a resource person in the village, a young woman with accounting skills, to help them implement this simplified accounting. 

The immediate challenge here is to list all the costs of producing shea butter to ensure that producers benefit from fair selling prices.
