Realization of qualitative research on key behaviors in terms of early childhood development in cocoa and non-cocoa areas in Côte d'Ivoire

The general objective of this study was to better understand the practices, perceptions, current barriers and the factors facilitating the practices and behaviors, in terms of early child development, of caregivers of children aged 0 to 3 in rural areas. and peri-urban areas in Côte d'Ivoire.

CPCS-CI performed the following assignments:

  • Recruitment and training of the research team
  • Pre-testing collection tools
  • Realization of 20 focus groups, 20 in-depth individual interviews, 20 observations in rural areas in the regions of Duékoué, Guiglo, Bouaké, Daloa and Odienné
  • Interview transcripts
  • Data analysis
  • Co-facilitation of a co-creation workshop for behavior change initiatives
  • Translation of the final research report from English to French
